MedScribe is a dictation application designed to enhance the efficiency of medical transcription workflows, particularly in reducing turnaround times and minimizing instances of missed dictations. The development of this app was informed by the specific needs and requests of clients, indicating a user-centered approach in its creation.

The app is owned by Kelly Brent, a Central Pennsylvania College alumnus from the class of 1984, who has decades of experience in the field. Since establishing her medical transcription service in 1984, Kelly has demonstrated a commitment to innovation, fully digitizing her operations in 2000. In 2004, she rebranded her company as DocuScript, LLC – Medical Transcription Solutions, marking a significant evolution in her business practices.

In addition to her entrepreneurial endeavors, Kelly Brent has served as an instructor within the Allied Health Division at Central Pennsylvania College. Her teaching repertoire includes courses such as Medical Terminology, Introduction to Medical Transcription, Medical Transcription II, and Advanced Medical Transcription, alongside various administrative classes.
